This Is The Day
Well here it is folks, my first blog post! Don’t get too excited, it’s just that this is the first chance I’ve had to catch my breath since July. I’m finished with school for the rest of the year (yay!) Now I just need to complete my applied project in the spring semester next year and I’ll graduate with my master’s degree. I rally thought it would take longer than it did but taking summer classes helped me get through the program a lot more quickly.
Now it’s time to focus on our move. I’ve started purging clothes and planning to pack cold weather items that we won’t need until the winter. I think it doesn’t get any colder in Barcelona than in Phoenix so we probably won’t be needing any Arctic gear. As long as there’s no snow and ice to contend with, I think I’ll survive.
Our meals this week will focus on using up all the condiments and pantry products. Les and I can still use many of our tried and true recipes but still get a little creative. Plus, there’s still plenty of wine to go around!
Otherwise, we’re awaiting word on our visas. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that we hear back from the consulate in LA this week. We’re anxious to get to Spain and begin this new adventure. We promise to keep you posted!
By the way, here’s a few songs for your listening pleasure. I cannot lie but I was inspired by our cycle instructor, Victoria this morning.
